history

On September 9th, 2008 five gamers gathered in hope of creating a clan. These five gamers - Matty2D, mikejaxon, MIwanski, Nino_Nemasis and Xx-CHURCHY-xX - wanted to create more than just a simple clan. Their desire was to create an elite clan. A clan based on more than just shooting together. A clan based on honor, integrity, loyalty, respect and victory. After hours of wasting time and procrastinating, The Uprising was born.

October 2008 - The Uprising finally put its skills to the test while taking part in the Urgent Fury: Black tournament. The Uprising dominated the field in their first ever tournament, putting up a perfect 8-0 record during the regular season. However, The Uprising's Cinderella story was put to a stop as they were defeated in the semi-finals by the eventual champions. Despite being defeated, The Uprising made it's claim as a clan to be reckoned with.
The Uprising was real.

March 2009 - The Uprising participated in their first ever big tacmap tournament - Urgent Fury: Chain Reaction - This tournament would put the clan to the ultimate test as it was going up against 15 other clans for a chance to hold the title as Urgent Fury's first ever Socom: Confrontation tacmap champion. The Uprising was in the driver's seat of the entire tournament, holding over half of all possible territories. They carried their momentum into the playoffs and finished what they started by defeated Junkyard Killaz in the finals. The Uprising was crowned as Urgent Fury's first Socom: Confrontation tacmap champion.

September 2009 - After becoming the first Socom: Confrontation UF Tacmap champions, The Uprising threw themselves right back onto the battlefield in an attempt to win two straight tacmap championships. Once again, Uprising went up against 15 powerful clans in a brand new tacmap tournament - Urgent Fury Chosin - The Uprising jumped back onto the top of the leaderboards and held a slim lead as the weeks passed. Refusing to give up their lead, Uprising found themselves in the championship match once again, this time against UF Veteran Clan 101st Screaming Eagles. The Uprising went on to sweep 101 in three straight maps, once again putting themselves above the rest and becoming the first clan to win two tacmap tournaments in Urgent Fury.

January 2009 - December 2009 - When the calendar turned to January 2009, The Uprising was determined to participate in another tournament. They found themselves face to face with a year-long no boom tournament - Urgent Fury: Black Tournament - This tournament would put them up againt 9 different clans every month in preparation for a single-elimination playoff in December. Playing through the tacmap tournaments, The Uprising once again found themselves on top of the competition, eventually coming in as the 2nd seed over the 11 month span of matches. Their dominance continued throughout the playoffs until they once again, reached the finals. As in the last Black tournament, The Uprising's story was put to a stop as they were defeated in a grueling three map final. Despite the loss, Uprising continued to establish themselves as a Socom powerhouse with a strong determination to win.

...and when we are down, our phoenix will rise from the ashes...
